November 21 - Celebrations & Changes
Celebrations, Biennial Reorganization, Club Development Committee, Setting Priorities for 2021, ADEMs and Election of Director of Clubs
You can register here for all of the Council of Clubs Meetings and you’ll get details on how to join from your computer/smartphone/regular phone. If you have any problems please email clubs@sddemocrats.org.
The next Council of Clubs meeting is on Saturday November 21, 2020. It’s the last meeting for this year.
Agenda
Celebrate local successes and hold hands (virtually) with those candidates who fell short, or whose races are still too close to call.
Describe the Biennial Central Committee Organization that takes place on the 2nd and 3rd Tuesdays in January (Policies and Procedures, Section V).
Discuss the Club Development Committee. One member from each area will be elected at the January Area meetings, and two At Large members will be elected at the first Council of Clubs meeting in 2021.
Review the effectiveness of Council of Clubs meetings, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, and make recommendations for improvement.
Encourage all clubs to conduct a needs assessment at the start of 2021. To better understand how to meet the needs of club members, and the Party.

Discuss the ADEMs that take place in January 2021. Applications can be made via the CADEM website from November 15 through December 15, 2020.
Nominate the Director of Clubs for the 2021/22 biennial term. One vote per club. If you can’t make the meeting you can send another club member to represent the club, just let us know in advance.
Thanks to everyone who re-chartered for next year by the November 15, 2020 deadline - over 92% of clubs submitted details on time. If you didn’t make it, and need help, let me or staff know how we can assist.
Zoom Links for Club Meetings
We’d like to encourage everyone to use a recurring Zoom meeting link for your club so we can put the link in the Party Calendar.
You can have a recurring meeting and require registration, this is probably the best way to set it up, as once members have registered they can always use the same personal link for any meeting during the year.
You can still extract attendance records, as Zoom provides a Report per meeting.
We’ve used this method all of this year for the Council of Clubs and Club Development Committee meetings and it's worked well. If you need help setting this up please reach out for assistance.
Party Calendar
If you provided a Gmail address when re-chartering, you will now be able to edit your club’s meeting entries on the Party Calendar. Your club is setup with a recurring meeting. You can edit just one occurrence, or the complete series. You can add details of the agenda to each meeting, or change the date and time as required. If you need help please reach out for assistance.
I look forward to seeing/hearing you this Saturday, 10AM - Zoom meeting registration
