Announcements
The E-Board recently voted unanimously to recommend the Central Committee suspend Policies and Procedures portions regarding binding of club votes until Director of Clubs and the Chair certify that clubs have acceptable accommodations to COVID-19 pandemic electronic meeting policies.
We’re postpoing the voting on Club of the Year until our May 16 meeting.
We need every club to let the Party know of changes to meeting details, newly elected officers, and bylaws. To make it easy, the Party has setup an online form here.
Please take a minute to update your club’s details.
Please reach out with suggestions for future meeting topics, our current requests include:
Financial Reporting - many clubs have grown their revenues and are now required to file with the Secretary of State and report contributions
Robert’s Rules of Order - enabling all voices to be heard, including the minority
Managing Dissent - strategies and techniques to mitigate the negative, encourage candor and deliberate issues constructively
California Democratic Party structure - how is it arranged, and how can we change it?
Policing ourselves - as Democrats come to dominate San Diego politics, how do we keep ourselves honest to voters, and each other?
I look forward to seeing/hearing you this Saturday, 10AM - Zoom meeting registration
Cheers, John
